Paladins with the desire to transform the harm caused to them into irritation of those who have wronged them have the option of pledging the Oath of Petty Vengeance.
These paladins are passionate, emotional and take offence easily. They will not hesitate to use their abilities to exact retribution on those who have harmed them. This pledge needs a strong feeling of conviction and a yearning for justice; it is not for the weak of heart.
At times this need for vengeance can come at the expense of both logic and even other party members. Paladins who swear an Oath of Petty Vengeance will have been slighted by someone in life so greatly that they will dedicate their entire lives to get even.
By taking this pledge, paladins tap into many strong abilities that let them direct their rage into annoying assaults upon those who have slighted them in any way and spells that provide the option for a particularly petty method of embarrassment or even death should the need come.
Paladins who take this oath are so devoted to seeking revenge that they mark their bodies in some way to signify the person that they are seeking. They may have a tattoo of that person’s name or a symbol emblazoned on their armour and shield only to be removed once vengance has been served.
