Panjango Trumps: Future Jobs

Game ID: GID0239287
Collection Status
Description

Similar to the Panjango Trumps card game that "explores the world of work", this game depicts fanciful jobs that might arise in the future.

Players are dealt out the deck and plays their top card by choosing from one of six categories that help describe the card. The highest value wins that "trump" and wins the other players card.
Just like other "top trump" card games you work through the deck and the player with all or the most cards wins.

What separates this game from other similar trump games is that one is expected to discuss the card and this can be a springboard to discuss wider themes regarding the future, what is good for the community and the individual. This is further explored in the mini games.

WHATS THE JOB* One player selects a card and the other players take turns asking a question about what the job is like and then tries to guess what it is. The first person to guess correctly wins.

STORY IMPROV* One player selects 10 cards at random and together with the other players takes turns improvising a story that weaves all the future jobs together.

ROBOT RISK* Each player takes a turn to debate with the others what the "robot risk" is for each job. How likely is it that this future job will be automated and taken over by an AI of the future?

GOOD OR EVIL* Players have to quickly choose three cards and argue if the job has the potential for the greatest good or evil in society.

The Panjango cards are aimed to help players explore the world of work as well as to open up critical thinking about the environment, society and what work would be best for individuals.
