Panzer Grenadier (Modern): 1967 – Sword of Israel: Four-Five Commando

Description

The 32nd issue returns to Panzer Grenadier (Modern): 1967 Sword of Israel, with the Royal Marines helicoptering into the Gaza Strip to commit mayhem. It’s based on actual excuses offered by Egyptian officers for their defeat in the Six-Day War: that British commandos intervened in the fighting, helping the Israelis eject the Egyptian garrison. British Royal Marines did see action in South Yemen in 1967, and were the last units to withdraw in November of that year. But they did not fight in Sinai.

The variant includes 24 die-cut and silky-smooth playing pieces for 45 Commando (properly rendered “Four-Five,” not “Forty-fifth,” in RN parlance). You get eight new scenarios of Royal Marine action, fighting the Egyptians and fighting the Israelis, too.
