Description

One new playable Sorcerous Origin - The Pariensic Soul
The Stat Block for an NPC Pariensic Soul Sorcerer
12 Monster Statblocks for New Living Spells
1 New Cleric/Druid Spell
A Rules Framework and Ecological Theory for creating more New Living Spells.

Pariensic Soul sorcerers have a spirit linked to multiple planes of existence. As a result areas near them are strongly magical, allowing effects normally seen only in high magic zones to occur, and persist, so long as they remain close. This allows a Pariensic Soul to generate and maintain Living Spell effects. This subclass is intended for use with the Sorcerer class as presented in the core rules or in conjunction with the options in Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything and Living Spell rules presented in Eberron Rising From the Last War. It is an attempt to expand on the Eberron campaign setting’s concept of Living Spells, turning these into something which may be encountered outside of the Eberron setting and also potentially outside of high magic zones. We have included a simplified NPC statblock for a Pariensic Soul Sorcerer for DMs to drop straight into their encounters.

In addition to the specific subclass features for this new sorcerous origin, this booklet also contains a detailed rules framework for the different types of Living Spell that would logically have evolved in high magic settings. It includes statblocks for some of these and explains how a DM could create more, for which we have presented suggestions for adaptation to the Living Spell conversion rules first presented on page 298 of Eberron Rising From the Last War.
