Passaggio di Marpo

Description

A two player tile/card placement game where the players aim to connect other islands to their island, and will earn more points the further away the other islands are.

On their turn, a player places a card. The game is played on a 5x5 grid with the deck placed in the center. All card plays must be played adjacent to either the deck or a previously placed card. In addition to island cards, the deck includes special cards which can affect previously placed cards.

Play continues until the board is full and the player with the most points win.

The game came in a ziplock bag which included a plastic case for the game's cards, an unassembled paper box to store the game in, and a playmat to play on. This solution was used as while the publisher's intention was to fit the components in the paper box, the playmat required too many folds to reach a size which would fit in the box and would then not lay flat enough to play; they note that the playmat is ultimately not required and the cards can be stored in the paper box.
