“A.D. 1284 – on the 26th of June – the day of St John and St Paul – 130 children – born in Hamelin – were led out of the town by a piper wearing multicoloured clothes. After passing the Calvary near the Koppenberg they disappeared forever.” -- an inscription found on a medieval home still standing in Hamelin.
In Paying the Piper, the PCs are hot on the trail of the children of Hamelin. To stage a successful rescue effort, they will not only need an artifact that has been split into pieces and scattered across the underworld, but they will also have to gain the blessing of Marwe, the goddess who watches over that hidden realm.
This adventure is intended for combat-oriented parties and can be completed in 1-3 sessions.
