PEBLS: the Sea Glass hunting game

Game ID: GID0242304
Collection Status
Description

Pebls is a game of competitive hunting for sea glass on Seaham Beach in England, one of the finest sea glass locations in the world. Players must search the beach, turning over driftwood to search the shingle below in the hopes of finding sea glass beads. They may also find rubbish which, as good citizens, they also collect. Players choose a direction of travel and can only change that direction when they reach the sea, or cliffs, or if they roll a starfish symbol on the custom dice. Play ends when all possible glass is collected or an agreed time period has elapsed. Sea Glass finds are totalled, and the value of the rubbish is assessed by one last roll of the starfish dice. The highest score wins.
