If a ship ventures into this area, there is a good chance that it will disappear without a trace. Fearful rumors and tales of the paranormal circulate among the coastal communities, leaving the landlocked inhabitants anxious and wary. Some ships still risk the trip because it is the shortest route to the coast across.
