The Pokemon Mini was a handheld gaming platform completely themed around the Pokemon franchise. The system retailed for $39.99 in the United States, ¥4,800 in Japan, and £29.99 in Europe.
The system is the smallest cartridge based handheld gaming system ever released. The system measures at 74mm x 58mm x 23mm, and weighs only 70 grams with a cartridge and battery plugged in. The system was available in three colors: green, blue, and purple. Additionally, the Pokemon Mini contained an internal clock, accelerometer, built-in rumble, and infrared sensor to facilitate multiplayer gaming.
Cartridges for the system were close to the size of a postage stamp and retailed for around $15 in the United States, ¥1,200 in Japan, and £15 in Europe.
Only ten games were ever released for the Pokemon Mini before it's production was ceased.
