Description

User summary:

Pokémon Tabletop RPG is a fan-created system for implementing Pokémon style adventures on the tabletop. The game provides a basic character statistics block and a simple resolution method, assuming that all setting details, etc., will be derived from Pokémon RPG.

While the game promotes itself as "a really good way to get started playing tabletop RPs", probably it is best used by experienced tabletop gamers.

Characters in the game are Pokémon Trainers, not Pokémon. Characters are defined by six Attributes (referred to as Skills in the game), including: Energy, Guts, Bond, Finding, Party, and Style. Each Attribute has a rating (0 to 5, though ordinarily none would start below 1) which is assumed to increase through play (though there is no method for advancement provided). Attribute Ratings act as a direct modifier (+0 to +5) on applicable die rolls.

Resolution uses a dF roll summed to the relevant Attribute's modifier, presumably rolled against a target difficulty set by the Game Master.

In the game, Pokémon are somewhat vaguely defined - presumably missing details are intended to be adapted into the provided framework from whatever official game product is desired. Pokémon have six Attributes - Energy, Guts, Bond, Brains, Agility, and Style - that are used, mechanically, like character Attributes. Pokémon also have a Type and a Move List - these need to be adapted from an external resource.

While the game document is 8 pages long, it is worth noting it includes only two pages of rules, one page character sheet, one page Pokémon sheet, and four blank (or nearly blank) pages.
