Portal Ziggurat

Constructed mostly from burned clay bricks this ziggurat rises high from the desolate landscape. Only the steep steps leading upwards at a terrifying angle and the top of the ziggurat's parapets are covered with expensive stone. At the base of the long stairs leading up about sixty feet to the ziggurat's top a pair of coal braziers burns, providing light day and night. But they are easily outshone by the blue glow of the portal and the rune circle surrounding it just beyond the top of the stairs.
