Pot o' Gold

Game ID: GID0251154
Collection Status
Description

Pot o' Gold is played with the provided board, two distinct dice, and a number of distinct tokens representing leprechauns: the rules recommend three for two players, four for three players, five for four or five players, and six for six players (or more, since there is no actual maximum player count).

Before each of three rounds players bet on one leprechaun to win and another as an alternate. Players then take turns rolling the dice, one of which always moves a leprechaun forwards and the other of which may move one backwards; the player rolling the dice decides which leprechaun(s) to move.

When a leprechaun reaches the end of the track it pays out: players who bet on it to win split a pot (100 times the round number) and players who bet on it as the alternate split a half-size pot. The player with the most points after three rounds wins.
