The prana duelist fighter is a "minor magecraft" class, which interacts with the magecraft features of the Magus class. These classes are designed to be setting-appropriate to the material the Magus is used for, while allowing players to utilize other classes and not be tied down to a full spellcaster. The prana duelist is a direct fighter who has dipped their toes into the mystic arts. Though they prefer a straight-forward and simple method of combat, and certainly lack the arcane talent of true mages, they innately wield magical abilities that they weave into their physical talents. They are most definitely Magus, but true-blooded magi might dismissively disagree with that notion.
The truest talents of the prana duelist lay in redirecting the current of magical energy in their body as it is generated. By doing so, they can grant themselves heightened senses and physical traits for short periods of time. This magic is a form of rapid reinforcement based in the less-than-sophisticated act of propelling or shielding the body with raw prana.
