PRESIDENT-LY

Game ID: GID0252301
Collection Status
Description

The aim of the game is to be elected President by the majority. This means getting the necessary votes to win more than half of the seats in the National Congress.

In order to get the votes, everything is allowed. Deals with other political parties, buying judges, cheating... but you also need to take into account the other political parties and luck!

You can also choose your lifestyle and what proposals you are going to invest the money from your campaign into. Also you need to decide what you are going to do during your time as President to ensure you win the elections for the following year.

Each turn, players will roll the dice and move their token on the track - either clockwise or counter-clockwise. They then draw a card from a pile corresponding to the colour of the space they landed on. Each colour has its own actions associated with it: Green for political expertise, black for family life, purple for business, gold for bribe and deals.

During the game, several elections are held. During each elections, players invest money - which buys them votes. These translated in positions in congress, which will give back money. There are also special positions, which will give you different advantages. A player wins the game if he manages to get a majority during the elections (50%+1).

Players can negotiate alliances, which allows them to share the benefits of special positions - though it is not possible to win together.
