Principati is a strategic board game. The goal of the game is to build a principality, manage it, trade with neighboring princes and distant caravans, defend your territory against hostile players, and defeat the other players on land and at sea by achieving a specific objective. Throughout the game, you will rely on your loyal cardinal and general to manage workers, craftsmen, soldiers, princely masters, transporters, and grooms.
You can achieve victory by building military and industrial buildings, placing territory tiles, producing goods, transporting resources, engaging in diplomacy, raising armies, launching battles and sieges, constructing and commanding ships, and acquiring princely decorations, thereby defeating your fellow players.
The game is enriched with various victory conditions, game variants, and their combinations. It can be expanded from a two-player version to a six-player version.
Game variants have playtimes ranging from 90 minutes to several hours.
In the introductory game, you can learn the rules step-by-step and familiarize yourself with the game elements. Experienced players can dive into conquering the seas and applying military tactics.
The base game can be expanded with various supplements that are independent of each other.
