From publisher blurb:
Six Lineages
Anurogtra. The smallest of the Ptrora, the Anurogtra were designed by the Ptr’ak’thra for the mission of espionage and reconnaissance. The small size and almost mammalian appearance of these Uncrested Ptrora makes it easier for them to hide in plain sight, their glider-like wings keeping them out of trouble.
Dimorphtra. Somewhat larger and tougher than their Anurogtra cousins, these Uncrested are vicious guerilla fighters, protecting their mountaintop villages in the shadows. Their long tails and sharp fins help them to zip through the skies, apprehending those who would invade their nests, or attempt to challenge the Ptr’ak’thra.
Palaeocutra. Mystics and seers, the Palaeocutra are the wisest of the Uncrested, and often seen as those closest to Ptr’ak’thra, channeling his words into the creed by which the Ptrora lived. Gigantic and shadowy, to see a Palaeocutra often spelled that doom would descend from the mountains, wrecking havoc upon those commonfolk.
Tropgnata. The Tropgnata are often avoided and sometimes reviled amongst the Uncrested ptrora, seen as the darkness that can come from those who gaze too long into the stars, attempting to find the Ptr’ak’thra. Some say that they as a people are now just husks, possessed by ancient evils that have long hated the Great Wing.
Geostetra. First among the Crested, the Geostetra were crafted by the Ptr’ak’thra as foot soldiers, defenders of the ancient temples to the Winged Sight. Their bright blue crests and blazing eyes, as well as their striking stripes make them hard to miss, almost as hard as the huge spears they once carried as the legionnaires of the temple.
Thlasdromta. Second of the Crested but not the least, the Thlasdromta are the builders and crafters of the ptrora, their great temples and mountain homes having been built by the hammers and chisels of Thlasdromtan talons. They are craftspeople unlike any other, and the greatest of the ptrora in size.
