Quatro is a word game for 2, 3 or 4 players. Words are formed by remembering the position of letter coins placed face down on the playing board. Players compete for the highest score by making words of at least four letters. Keen memory and ingenuity are rewarded by bonus points for Premium and Dividend words.
OBJECTIVE
The objective is to turn up coins all of which together form a word of four or more letters. Scoring is based on the value of the letters in the word. In addition, bonuses are scored for Premium words, which are words containing five or more letters, and also for Dividend words, which are words made entirely of letters all of the same color (all gold or all black).
Charts, showing the frequency of the letters and the point value assigned to each letter, are printed on the playing board.
