From publisher blurb:
In the vastness of Known Space, starships are essential to moving people and goods from world to world. But just as essential are the destinations for most of those vessels: starports. Like the truck stops that dotted the American landscape of old Terra, these installations offer oases of rest, refreshment, refueling, and the chance to make a few extra credits, if one plays their cards right.
Starports can be incredibly complicated affairs involving many interlocking services and agencies, and covering vast stretches of ground. Regardless of their type, starports aren’t detailed in basic CE or OSFRPG publications. Detailed creation rules exist, but a search for some might involve diligent research and money. Even if such rules are found, it’s likely that the process for creating them may also be complicated.
Quick Starports is intended to offer an alternative. Designed to be quick-and-dirty, the Referee can have a fully-functional starport ready for play in a few minutes. They’re also suited for use at the table, giving the Referee a chance to create an entire port or part of one on-the-fly. All that’s needed is a blank sheet of paper, a writing tool, and a handful of D6s.
Quick Starports. Now boarding…
