Quirky is an abstract strategy board game of luck (of the draw), placement (strategy), stacking and points accumulation on a triangular wooden board.
Based on the number '3' and designed for three players by Games Above Board, the (Canadian) publisher states Quirky may also be played by two players.
Each player has a colour (which may change during the game) and, taking turns, draws different-shaped pieces at random from a bag - placing them on the board regardless of the owner yet being careful not to help the opponent(s) nor hinder their own strategy.
Should the colours change, players retain their points scored and continue playing against what was previously their own color pieces and strategy.
Pieces may be placed 3-high and top pieces may be removed.
Placement or exposure of 3 same-colour pieces in a triangle scores 3 points.
The object is to be the first to score 45 points.
