User summary

Racetrack, also called SUPRC and SUPER RACE, presents a single "screen" of ASCII printed to resemble a curving racetrack. Each turn, the player inputs three controls - Accelerate/Brake; Gear; and Direction. The player's automobile, along with the computer's automobile, is then moved on the track.

Racetrack was written by Scott Bennett and published as type-in source code in Creative Computing Vol. 4, No. 2, March/April 1978.

The program was offered in BASIC and required a CRT with "character addressing". Some accompanying notes offer suggestions on adapting the source code to other systems.
