From publisher blurb:
The world of Esanu was already teetering on the brink when the genetic virus was unleashed. Cities began to crumble, not from bombs or invasions, but from within – by the hands of their own people. The virus, secretly engineered and spread for political advantage, turns ordinary citizens into savage killers, driven by an uncontrollable rage. The official story blames an accident, but whispers in the shadowy corners of power tell a different tale. This was no mistake. It was an attack – a bio-weapon designed to destabilize governments, cripple factions, and create chaos. Now, the infected rule the streets, their once-human minds reduced to animalistic fury. Survivors huddle in the remnants of civilization, while the political elite behind the virus watch from the safety of their fortresses. Some say there is an antidote, hidden away by the powerful who fear their own creation. Others believe the virus will burn itself out – but not before it burns the world to ash. You are one of the few uninfected, though for how long remains to be seen. Every breath you take could be your last, every shadow could hide a monster wearing the face of someone you once knew. The infected hunt without mercy, and those who remain untouched scramble to survive the political bloodbath that is spreading just as fast as the virus.
In this Solo Adventure you assume the role of a Character in a Dark Science Fantasy setting. You will require The Haven Fallen Core Rulebook (CRB), and any associated Expansions you wish to use to assist you, along with a pen and paper or word-processing document, to play.
The story is set up with an Introduction, a handful of location details and a few pertinent Story Points. The rest is down to you and your imagination.
The Actions you take should depend on who and what you see, and how you wish to interact. Keep a record of your story and adapt it as per the result of each Action. As you progress you will see that you are behaving as your own Storyteller, creating the interactive world in which you are playing.
Use the Character Creation section of the CRB to create your Character and use the Storyteller section of the CRB to assist with generating NPCs.
Once you have familiarised yourself with the following few pages, you are ready to begin.
