Dear Adventurer, whether you are traveling through Krynn, or other worlds, you will doubtless encounter a dragon or two on your adventures. With this book, you may encounter even more! With new dragon clutchlings that are around CR 1/4 - CR 1, your party may stumble upon any of the 10 types of chromatic or metallic dragons' nests. Or perhaps they want to adopt a cute little baby dragon of their own? The new Fledglings, Juveniles and Elders fill the gaps between Wyrmlings, Young, Adult and Ancients. And to top it off there are Wyrms and Great Wyrms which reach the CR 30 range.
There are also 8 new Death Dragon stat blocks, which are specifically designed for Dragonlance 5e, but can be deployed anywhere. The feared Jelly Dragon is a favorite retro-gaming inspired Undead Dragon with a toxic-jelly twist. There are a slew of other, interesting Death Dragons to swap in and out of your campaigns if you get tired of the Death Dragon you may have used before.
Takhisis and Paladine, the good and evil dragon deities of the world of Krynn have also been given stat blocks, and set to a CR 40. These are not enemies that your players should take on unaided. If they come into play in your game, I suggest it be done in a way that it is something players are witnessing or taking a small part in, and should not be something they are really in control of.
