Description

From publisher blurb:

Ramia presents a unique look at what a chthonic low- fantasy world filled with both what the boom of magical progress and keel of backwards religious zealotry would produce. There are three key facets that anyone picking up Ramia needs to understand in order full experience the world:
1.Spirituality has many facets. Within Ramia, there are numerous camps of thought: you have the extremist Ramian clerics who wander and try to convert and drive away memories of the past; there are those who dwell within the wetlands of Ramia and hear the cry of the chthonic empowered whales; and then there are others who walk the roads of the world with the spirits by their side.
2. Magic is new and technology newer. For centuries, druidic and eldritch magics were the only ones known to commonfolk. However, in recent years, new experiments have begun to reveal the power of arcane magic and how it can be used to create new technologies beyond tall ships. Only certain people have access to this though, and many still view arcane magic as highly dangerous and completely alien. No one knows where it came from, only that it is here.
3. The past slumbers beneath. Ramia is a very young world, only a little over a thousand years old, yet a lot has happened in that time. From the Years of Rain to the Yeti Wars, Ramia seems to have experienced world-changing history nonstop. Use this to your advantage when building and designing: one could easily dig up old graves from ancient wars or stumble into forgotten ruins from ages past.
