Rampant Hordes is a scale and model agnostic fantasy mass battle game.
It is designed to be played in about an hour with fully customizable forces from your favorite fantasy setting.
The rules can accommodate infantry, cavalry, monsters, and wizards.
Players choose generic units and customize them using a Fantasy traits list. Most weapons and equipment is abstracted into simple to use Fantasy Traits for the units.
The mechanics are straight forward, streamlined, and easy to learn. Rampant Hordes uses a d6 vs. a target number to resolve combat, actions, morale, and other results.
In addition, it uses a Command Point system for resource management to unlock special rules and benefits for your troops at the key point of battle.
Victory in Rampant Hordes focuses on completing mission objectives. These are randomly generated prior to the game and come complete with twists and turns to make every gaming experience unique.
It also includes a campaign system to link your games together into a narrative to build and maintain your armies.
