The setting began when we started talking about making 6D6 'more gritty' and thought up many now discarded rules. What did survive was the idea of something horrific and dirty. From this seed, Rebel Flesh has grown.

I suppose the highest influence on Rebel Flesh is the works of horror authors but also, strangely perhaps Call Of Cthulhu. My concept with Flesh is to create an kind anti-Cthulhu. I love the game, don't get me wrong, but I wanted to have a game where the character's mind and sanity is never called into question. Instead, the body is the weak factor. I wanted to create a setting where the cost for the heroes is openly visible and those that survive are irrevocably changed for the worse.

So I hope you like this demented carnival that's started to crawl out of my head.
