Description

"Extensively researched, Red Baron is the first set of World War I air miniatures rules to combine historical accuracy with an easily playable rules system. Instead of relying on the luck of the dice, players have to use their wits to respond to constantly changing battle, just like their real-life counterparts."

"Features rules for multiple maneuvers and tailing; aces, legendary aces, and rookies, mid-air collisions, fixed and pivoting funs, stalls, spins, and landing, a wide variety of damage effects gun jams, fires, bailing out, and more."

"Red Baron is a rules system for re-creating World War I aerial combat using miniature airplanes in 1/144, 1/285, or 1/300 scale. Each Miniature plane represents on actual plane which took part in the First World War. Each inch horizontally across the gaming table represents one hundred feet, as does each inch above the table vertically. Each game turn represents about seven seconds of actual time. Each movement point equals ten miles per hour. Each burst of gunfire represents about twenty to twenty-five rounds of ammunition."
