Red Land, Black Land takes place 5,000 years ago. Some of the familiar images of ancient Egypt have begun to arise, side-by-side with the trappings of the north African stone age.

You will play one of a small group of dissidents who want to escape the growing power of the man who will soon become the first pharaoh. Common knowledge says that to the east and west, the desert simply continues on forever. For one reason or another, though, you have decided to set out anyway, to find a place that may not even exist.
