The Alchemy rules found in Mysteries of the Hollow Earth are wonderfully written, easy to use and add greatly to the game. However, my view is that they are more the Rumpelstiltskin type of ability, spinning straw into gold. This article expands on Field Notes Day 77, which covers medicinal plants and concoctions made from nature.
