In Reminiséance, players are drawn into a séance where trust and deception intertwine. Mediums work together to guide spirits to enlightenment through a ritual, while charlatans secretly undermine their efforts, seeking undeserved prestige. The séance is further complicated by the presence of shadowy spirits, whose possession threatens all participants.
Players take on hidden roles as mediums or charlatans and use tarot cards to manifest spirits, contribute to ritual candles, and manipulate the séance’s outcome. Mediums must deduce who to trust while working to meet the ritual's strict requirements, while charlatans deceive and mislead to sabotage the process or secure their victory through prestige.
Victory conditions vary by role: Mediums must fulfill the ritual’s requirements for each candle and ensure a Medium's prestige matches or exceeds the charlatans’. Charlatans win by sabotaging the ritual or having the highest individual prestige. If shadowy spirits take hold, all players risk losing the séance together.
The game’s dynamic blend of social deduction, strategy, and hidden agendas keeps players guessing and adapting as the séance unfolds. Reminiséance offers an immersive experience filled with tension, collaboration, and betrayal.
