From the introduction:

Late July 1897. At long last, the White Rose has called for an attack upon their dreaded enemies – the Army of Set the Undying. A call has been made to travel to Austria, where the final plans for the attack are being formalized.

Because of the nature of this mission even those heroes who have reach 14th level or who have levels in the Prestige Classes Minster or Shepherd may participate. This is an exception to the rules regarding play of those heroes.

The Living Death Campaign uses Masque of the Red Death.
