Rise of the Orc is a bestiary and rules supplement for the acclaimed universal roleplaying game, Heroes & Hardships.

Orc have a strong presence in fantasy since JRR Tolkien’s The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings. The continuation of orcs as a strong, hardy, and dangerous adversary can be seen in various games and settings. It is not unheard of for orcs to be portrayed as protagonists, either as mixed-ancestries or with their full bloodline intact.

How orcs behave or exist is completely up to the GM and the setting their games are set within. The role orc play will differ greatly depending on the setting and the GM’s imagination. Rise of the Orc gives GMs options to use orc in any way they see fit.

Rise of the Orc includes various new rules, including:

11 new Abilities;
2 new Ancestry Traits;
2 Orc Ancestries;
4 Orc Ancestry Templates;
1 new Magical School and 8 new Manifestations;
1 new Equipment Effect;
1 new Weapon Quality;
Long Distance Travel and Fatigue rules;
And 10 new Adversaries from PL 1-3.
