Description

Curses are dark and dangerous things.
They have the power to render even the strongest of heroes helpless.

But curses are not restricted to powerful wizards!

Some curses exist outside of the normal schools of magic. Their origins and methods heavily controlled or shrouded in secrecy.

Ritual Curses
Ritual Curses are a new type of curse.

Unlike the "Bestow Curse" spell, these curses don't require spell slots and have unlimited range.

However, they require more components than usual and each ritual takes several hours to cast, meaning that casting one of these curses is a major undertaking.

Each curse requires something from the intended victim. Be it an item they've touched, a lock of their hair, or even some of their blood.

Certain curses also need to be cast in specific locations, forcing villains to get creative if they want to use one.
