As the sequel to Myst, Riven is also a simple, point-and-click adventure game that drops you in the middle of an immersive world. The story of Riven picks up right after the ending events of Myst. Atrus, the protagonist of Myst, needs your help to free his wife from his overbearing father Gehn. During his rule, Gehn has also allowed the world of Riven to slowly fall apart. You will spend your time solving puzzles and exploring the Age of Riven in hopes of setting everything right.
Riven was released for PC in 1997 and was praised by professional reviewers and was lauded as even approaching the level of art.
