Description

Rock – Paper – Scissors is an abstract 2 or 3 player combat game, based on the children’s hand game where rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper, and paper beats rock. Players place, move or flip over tiles with Rock, Paper or Scissor symbols. They try to capture opponent’s tiles by surrounding them with enough tiles showing the symbol that beats the symbol showing on the surrounded tile. The object of the game is to be the first player to capture enough of their opponent’s tiles to make two sets of 3 captured tiles.

Rock – Paper – Scissors tiles are hexagonal, with a rock or paper or scissors symbol on each face. The symbols on the two sides of a tile are always different, and there are 3 different types of tiles with different combinations of symbols on them: Rock/Paper, Paper/Scissors and Scissors/Rock. The 15 tiles for each player consist of 5 tiles of each of the 3 different types. In addition to the large symbol on each face of the tile, there is a small symbol which shows what the symbol on the other side of the tile is, which enables players to make decisions about flipping tiles without having to disturb the tiles.
