For most rogues the city is the ideal environment to ply their trade, picking pockets as they pass through crowds, or becoming invisible after assassinations in the anonymity of busy streets.

Yet for some rogues there is no better place to practice the art of thievery than the open road. These highwaymen are masters of preying on their targets' fear - on isolated roads far out of the bounds of civilization, who can you call for help?

The Highwayman is a Roguish Archetype that focuses on using intimidation, often without needing to fire a single shot. Highwaymen are also skilled in using martial ranged weapons and in riding - the first to present their threats, and the second to escape with a stolen prize.
