Description

User summary:

Role-Playing Mitosis is a simple LARP implementation used in high-school or collegiate-level courses to teach complex principles of mitosis (cellular division). Play takes place during a single class period. A variety of "goals" can be provided by the instructor, and the students are then left to reach the goal within the constraints of the game.

Students are assigned the roles of named macro-molecules, which have (somewhat anthropomorphic) goals and tasking.

The game was published in The American Biology Teacher, Volume 62, Number 5, May 2000 (pp. 378-381).
