—description from the publisher (adapted)

In turns each player becomes the active player and impersonates the Centurion who must blindly yet strategically choose a set of cards from the ones provided face-down by the other players, and then resolve their effects. The "other players" are basically of two rival factions, Julius Caesar and his legions VS Pompeius Magnus and his senators. These roles are kept secret. Each of the "other players" choose their cards as to best pursue their personal goals: Caesar's fans want Caesar to cross the Rubico river and reach Rome as fast as possible; Pompeo's fans try to slow down Caesar's march and reach majority in the Senate.
