The origin of the ry'laegoth is somewhat disputed amongst cosmic scholars, but the ry' laegoth themselves will tell all the same story: they descended from the great ry 'laeg, powerful aquatic saurials that were created by the Titan Duty, and placed within the deep oceans of the universe - regardless of world to ensure that the monsters of those depths would not come up to hunt those above. In time, the magics of these worlds created the ry 'laegoth, who for a time served their progenitors, but then chose to seek brighter waters. Today, the massive iquana-esque ry 'laegoth protect the deep shores and waters of Ghaistala, working with the luh'hra and G.E.A.R. to explore deep sunken ruins that even the luh'hra cannot reach. However, all ry'laegoth live by one rule: do not awaken the Dreamer.
