Description

User summary:

The action resolution method used in Sacred Steel involves a custom card deck with equal numbers of success cards and failure cards (any deck can be used with equal numbers of two types of cards--red and black, for example). Players draw one or more cards to determine success--any success card in the draw indicates success. Players draw more cards if they have better skill or ability in the area of action. In opposed actions each opponents draws cards and counts successes--the most successes win.

Players have five Skills: Awareness, Physique, Combat, Learning, and Interaction. Scores range from 2 to 6 (typically) with 3 being considered average. A sixth Skill, Magic, is used for some characters.
