Sages and Skirmishers adds four subclasses that play off of existing themes within their parent classes, but dive in a new direction. Each subclass features an introduction that describes the narrative origins for the subclass, unique powers that shape the way the character is played at low and mid levels, and explosive late game options that fulfill the fantasy of a powerful character.
Plunderers are Artificers that dive into dangerous encounters to find new treasures, using those items in the blink of an eye and adapting them to suit their needs.
Clerics of the Time Domain can change the order of Initiative, get extra turns or rerolls, and dive out of the timeline to escape threats.
Monks from the Way of the Swift Shot launch arrows while running circles around their enemies, and dominate close range by peppering nearby foes with arrows.
The Urban Ranger have sidekicks and are empowered by those who want to lend a hand, fulfilling the superhero archetype in a class focused on tracking down specific enemies.
