Scalextric is a computer simulation of electric race cars toys (toys where you build a track out of plastic parts on which toy cars with a small electric motor can move). The game includes two modes, racing, against either a live opponent or the computer on one of the ten prebuilt tracks, and construction kit, where players can design tracks and test them.
The game was developed under a licence from Scalextric, a company manufacturing such toys.
