Description
Chess for 4 is the second game in Gpip Design's 'for 4' series of games.
Two rows of 8 fields are added on each side of a standard 8x8 chess board. 3 or 4 players can play; each player starts at a different side of the board. Standard chess rules apply, except that a piece that threatens a king cannot be captured. One king cannot be placed in check by two or more opponents at once.
The game ends when only one king remains on the board; that player is the winner.
Chess for 4 can also be played as a 2 vs 2 partnership game. In this case, you cannot capture your partner's pieces.
