Description
Scoop was one of Western's games distributed by Leisure Home Parties, which apparently was an early attempt at a home party sales approach to games. It has nothing to do with the Waddingtons/Parker Brothers game of the same name.
In this game, each player represents a newspaper trying to fill its front page, represented by a 6x8 grid. Players move around the main board buying, auctioning, and trading stories, which are thin tiles in four different sizes. The stories must be placed upright on the newspaper boards and must fit together without overlapping. Some stories have events on them, and all have fake headlines and leads.
