Selkies are creatures from Scottish mythology, seals able to transform into humans by shedding their skin. Folktales about selkies usually involve a human man finding the skin and hiding it, forcing the female owner of the skin to become his wife. Often the pair will even have children together, before the skin is finally returned to the selkie and she returns to the sea.
In this adventure, a prostitute asks the party for help in retrieving an item of importance from her pimp so she can finally escape his control. The party breaks into his room in the inn, retrieve the item and return it to her. The item turns out to be her selkie seal skin, and with it back she is allowed to return to her home and family in the sea.
