From publisher blurb:
Six Lineages
Verosz. An incredibly reclusive and secretive people, the Verosz are a semiaquatic nocturnal species that spend the majority of their time in and around bodies of water. Unlike most snakes, the Verosz recharge under the light of the moon and generally avoid sunlight when they can.
Rag'vir. Their ancestral legend claims they hail from a great serpent, Ra’eth, that came from the burning core of the planet. In Rag’vir belief, there is a sun inside of every planet, and when one of their kind dies, they return to that burning heart.
Sha'ey. The Sha’ey are brightly colored serpent-folk with scales of innumerable shades. From scarlets, greens, to deep indigos, the Sha’ey may look very different when standing next to one another, with their varied patterning and brilliant sheens, but it is their uniquely bright colors that bind them together.
Vipera. The Vipera are stealthy, deadly, and silent assassins that speak few words and let body language - and body count - do the talking. It is said they hear voices from the Nightmare, the dead, or Death itself in Set’s visage as the Unseen.
Ēlaz. The Ēlaz are more materialistic than their other Setheti cousins, and tend to be hooded, adorning their hoods with various gems and metals. Though they can be vain, they take great pride in their artisanship of various alloys and materials, creating breathtaking jewels and deadly weapons.
Adaspar. The Adaspar are a nomadic people since they lost their ancient homeland and separated from the other Setheti, but they tend to stay somewhat confined to historically traveled routes that have been long tread by other Adaspar.
