"Les Humains" describes the different human factions:
- the human society, leaving in the Technopol
- the "Nouvel Ordre" (New Order), the techno-cult revering the 6 human-gods and 12 churches that handle the state affairs
- the "Grandes Familles" (Great Families), the aristocrats keeping a closed fist around commerce
- the "Renégats" (Renegades), the few humans joining the heossian resistance
The book adds some rules to interact with human technology, in particular "Arpège", the Shaan equivalent of internet.
Some secrets about human society are also revealed in this book.
