This has been my campagn settong for most of the last ten years. Origionaly I wanted to recreate the kind of setting found in 1980s UK fantasy gaming like you used to see in early White Dwarf before Warhammer, Original Dragon Warriors, RuneQuest, Stormbringer, Cthulhu, Fighting Fantasy and of course the big one: double D (as my kids call it). It probably has a healthy mix of Clark Ashton Smith, Moorcock, Lovecraft, Fritz Lieber and historic vice behind it also.
