SHIFTED is a fast-paced, highly interactive social deduction wallet game where players take on the roles of blue-collar space workers called GEWPERS, tasked with doing busy work around their ship. However, one of them is the SHIFT, a shape-shifting alien bent on converting all life into its kind, and another is the VOID, a nihilist who would rather see everything fail.
Each turn, a Job Coordinator must complete a task by playing a poker-style hand. However, each job requires help from other ship members to complete the hand. One must decide who is genuinely working toward success and who is secretly manipulating the mission for their own win condition.
The game ends when one of the three teams reaches their goal: GEWPERS win by successfully completing jobs, the SHIFT wins by converting other players, and the VOID claims victory when enough jobs have failed.
