PCs are Scythes, trainees of the death god Set. They serve in the Hall of Agonies to earn Silver Scythes and become accredited Reapers. Their duty: pairing Deathseekers and guiding them into the afterlife in companionable company. This fulfils Set's oath to those seeking their end at his temple: "Though you suffer, you shall not traverse Death's valleys alone."
