Sixtacular is a genre-agnostic set of core rules intended to support any style of gaming. The Sixtacular System Reference Document presents an Open Game License for the Sixtacular System as well as the core rules.
Characters are defined by several "soft" values - Archetype, Quirks, and Motivation - and several "hard" values - Stats (Action/Brains/Contact) and Talents. Stats values are assigned from an initial pool of points. Talents grant bonus dice to a resolution pool.
Resolution uses a summed dice pool against a target number. Exceptional and "ridiculous" results may occur in some situations. One die in every rolled pool must be distinguishable and is identified as the "Weird Die"; a result of six on this die does not count for success and indicates "something weird happens". Combat resolution is deliberately fairly abstracted (e.g., this is not a "tactical" system).
